Whether you are an experienced diver, just getting certified or interested in learning more about Scuba Diving, TSSC is the club for you! We organize local dive trips to Lake George NY, RI, MA and Maine as well as several more distant and exotic locations each year. We also plan monthly social events called "Deco Stops" at a variety of venues to share experiences, swap dive stories and simply enjoy the camaraderie among divers, friends and family. But that's not all, we also care alot about the environment and plan events around protecting our local beaches for future generations to enjoy. We have many great speakers that come to our monthly meetings to talk about a variety of topics from gear maintenance, dive safety, dive locations, and achievements in the diving world are just a few examples. BBQ's and other events galore, the fun does not end, whether under the water or topside! So come check us out and learn more about us!

Message from the TSSC Board of Directors:
These past few months have been challenging in so many ways. Recent and onging events in our country have given us all a reason to look inward and work outwards to a better society. We at The Scuba Sports Club of New York are committed to, and stand together with all communities in support of equality for those who have been treated unjustly.
TSSC was founded in 1975 by the late Armand "Zig" Zigahn as the Scuba Sports Rites Club. It became a very active club with about 30 scheduled Northeast Dives and at least one Caribbean trip every year. In addition to its active dive and social schedules, the club put together an annual show called "Dive to Adventure". This show first ran in 1976, with a few exhibit booths in a hotel conference room. Every aspect of the show was the work of club volunteers; the first slide and film shows were presented by club members, and the first fashion shows starred club members as models. Under "Zig's" leadership and with club members' enthusiasm the show soon blossomed. It was realized that the public wanted more and the show evolved into what we now know as Beneath the Sea. It is now the largest exposition of its kind in the country. In 2020 we celebrated our 45th anniversary and look forward to the many years ahead!
