On May 28,
2000, the Fins, Defiance, and Moontide, carrying
over 2 dozen TSSCers and more food than you'd think could fit
on a boat, rendezvoused off Playland in Rye for our annual
Memorial Day Regatta. The appetites of many sharpened by a
morning dive, they dove in--to the food, this time.
Among the
notable events at this Regatta, Howie Forman, keeper of the
Ugly Files (an infamous archive screened annually at our Open
House Party) was himself caught on film--or at least magnetic
media (below left). To his right, Rick D'Amico, newsletter
editor and charcoal chef. And at the far right, Dave Swope,
intrepid captain of the Fins, surveys his domain.
At the bottom, Pat Forgacs looks cool, calm, and collected with
the twin spires of Playland barely visible in the background,
and Howie (obviously unaware of the face he will present on our
web page!) gives the thumbs-up sign--a judgment on the Regatta
in which all seem to concur!
